In Response to Jackie's Blog

The whole concept behind that little debbie Million Smile Mission is a great marketing plan. Any tour through the U.S. for a food product can get people smiling especially the kids. Back when oscar meyer came out with their hotdogs they have a hot dog mobile that did a huge city tour and at their stops they would give everyone free hot dogs and let the kids ride in the hot dog car. It worked great for them so I'm sure this will work great for Little Debbie. They are also having a contest to give away the Million Smile Mission trailer. Its has a huge pictures of Little Debbie on it which will remind customers of their products as they drive by them in their cars. It is for sure a good market opportunity for them seeing as people can really get a good sense of what their slogan is which is "Unwrap a Smile"

"Nuvo The Luxury Liqueur"

Back in 2008 I heard the song "blame it" on the radio. In that song the drink called Nuvo was mentioned. I had never heard of it in my life so I had no clue what it was. All i know is I would keep hearing Nuvo being mentioned in tons of hip hop songs. All the music videos show the famous celebrities throwing a party at a club with the fancy pink drink. I eventually learned that it a sparkling vodka. It states" The First Sparkling Liqueur in the World" It basically looks like a huge bottle of expensive pink perfume. The marketing strategy behind this product is played out well and is very smart becasue so much of the industry is geared toward men. It was created because they knew that many women are drawn toward luxury brands. They also did alot of marketing research to find out that a majority of women like fruity concoctions. Their intended demographic and target market are women in the young to mid 20's. They have used womens fashion magazines to advertise Nuvo and make it seem like it is an "Ultimate Accesory". They have paid big money to show the drink in music videos and have spent millions to give it the image it has. Their marketing strategy seems to be working well right along side of the other popular drink for women called hypnotic. Hypnotic is made by the same person Yakoby. They have a competative advantage in the industry because of its originality and creative look. They have a huge competative advantage because of the fact that its popularized in famous music videos. The price is also set to a level that is not so high so that the average middle class worker cannot afford a bottle. Go see for your self. Turn on the radio or watch some tv. The bright bubbly pink stuff is everywhere. I wonder how many others have heard of this through songs or videos?
