Creative Store Displays of Soda

Whenever you enter a large grocery store or walmart you will always see a large soda display somewhere that creates and image or words. Its generally made with 12 packs. Coke and pepsi both build displays depending on who they sponsor or based on the seasons and holidays. If theres a big basketball event or world series for baseball then they will have the name of the team such as RED SOX is big letters. I've seen a big pumpkin made out of orange soda and pepsi max. Ive seen a chirtmas tree and ginger bread house made out of coke products. These displays are sky high too so you can see them right when you walk through the door. These displays are very smart innovation in selling its products to the consumers. First of all its so high that you will notice it when you walk in. You will be curious and walk over to it and seeing it will remind you to buy some soda while your at it. If it says RED SOX and thats your favorite team you might buy soda just because it produced a happy thought about watching the big game. You need soda for the game along with your hot dogs. You might need coke for your whiskey. A buyers decision process has diferent influences on the process.

Situational influences: Buyers mood and condition- The display can change your mood and make you curious or excited and can produce a thought of a future event

Psychological influences: Perception- Your perception coke or pepsi could be that they are a fun company and they take buying soda to the next level

Social influences: Culture and sub cultures- Our culture has grown up on these products, have shared events and great memories witht these products, our culture loves sports and celebrates the holidays. What better then a display that celebrates what our culture celebrates.
